These Booking Terms & Conditions apply to all tours, safaris, excursions, transfers, accommodation packages and other travel services booked through Jadoshi Tours & Safaris (“Jadoshi Tours & Safaris”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

By making a booking with us, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

1. About Our Services

Jadoshi Tours & Safaris arranges and provides travel experiences in Zanzibar and Tanzania, including tours, safaris, excursions, transfers, accommodation packages and related travel services.

Some services may be provided directly by Jadoshi Tours & Safaris, while other services may be provided by independent third-party suppliers.

These suppliers may include:

  • airlines and flight providers;

  • hotels, lodges and camps;

  • safari operators;

  • professional guides;

  • boat operators;

  • transport providers;

  • national parks and conservation authorities;

  • activity providers; and

  • other tourism service providers.

Where a service is provided by a third party, the service remains subject to that provider’s operating conditions, availability and requirements.

2. Making a Booking

A booking request can be made through our website or by contacting Jadoshi Tours & Safaris directly.

A booking is not considered confirmed until:

  1. we have confirmed availability;

  2. the applicable booking requirements have been accepted; and

  3. the required payment or deposit has been received.

A quotation, enquiry or provisional itinerary does not constitute a confirmed booking.

3. Prices and Quotations

Prices displayed on our website or provided in a quotation are based on the information available at the time.

Prices may vary depending on:

  • travel dates;

  • number of travellers;

  • accommodation availability;

  • accommodation category;

  • flight availability;

  • seasonal pricing;

  • park or conservation fees;

  • supplier pricing; and

  • changes to the requested itinerary.

Where a quotation is provided for a specific itinerary, the quotation will state the applicable price and inclusions.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, a quotation is subject to availability and may change until the booking is confirmed.

4. Payment

The amount required to confirm a booking will depend on the particular service or package.

Payment requirements may include:

  • a deposit;

  • full payment;

  • staged payments; or

  • payment of specific components in advance.

The payment requirements applicable to your booking will be communicated to you before confirmation.

A booking may not be confirmed until the required payment has been received.

5. Booking Confirmation

Once your booking has been confirmed, we will provide booking information appropriate to your itinerary.

This may include:

  • booking confirmation;

  • itinerary;

  • accommodation details;

  • flight information;

  • transfer information;

  • tour or safari details;

  • meeting or collection information; and

  • other relevant travel information.

Customers are responsible for checking their booking information and notifying us as soon as possible if any information is incorrect.

6. Itineraries

We make reasonable efforts to provide the itinerary described at the time of booking.

However, travel itineraries may need to change because of:

  • weather;

  • road or sea conditions;

  • wildlife or park conditions;

  • government or conservation authority requirements;

  • flight schedules;

  • supplier availability;

  • operational requirements;

  • safety considerations; or

  • circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where reasonably possible, we will provide an alternative arrangement of comparable value or adjust the itinerary accordingly.

Specific attractions, wildlife sightings or natural events cannot be guaranteed.

For example, safari experiences involve wild animals in their natural environment, and sightings of particular species cannot be guaranteed.

7. Accommodation

Accommodation included in a package is subject to availability.

Where the specific accommodation originally selected becomes unavailable, we may arrange alternative accommodation of a similar standard where reasonably possible.

Accommodation facilities, services and operating conditions are determined by the individual accommodation provider.

Any special requests, including room preferences, dietary requirements or accessibility requests, should be made at the time of booking.

Special requests cannot be guaranteed unless specifically confirmed in writing.

8. Flights and Transport

Where flights or transport are included in your booking, schedules are subject to the relevant airline or transport provider.

Flight times, routes, aircraft, departure locations and schedules may change.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate passenger information when requested.

Any additional costs arising from customer-requested changes, missed flights or other circumstances attributable to the customer may be charged to the customer.

9. Passports, Visas and Travel Documents

Customers are responsible for ensuring that they have the appropriate:

  • passport;

  • visa;

  • travel permits;

  • vaccination or health documentation where required;

  • insurance; and

  • other documents required for their journey.

Passport and visa requirements can vary depending on nationality and destination.

Customers should confirm the requirements applicable to their own circumstances with the relevant government authorities before travelling.

Jadoshi Tours & Safaris is not responsible for losses resulting from a customer travelling without the documents required for their journey.

10. Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all travellers.

Customers should consider obtaining appropriate cover for:

  • medical expenses;

  • emergency evacuation;

  • cancellation;

  • travel interruption;

  • flight disruption;

  • baggage loss or delay;

  • personal belongings; and

  • other risks associated with international travel.

Jadoshi Tours & Safaris is not an insurer and does not provide travel insurance unless expressly stated as part of a particular package.

11. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are expected to:

  • provide accurate booking information;

  • provide accurate passport and traveller information where required;

  • comply with instructions provided by guides and tour operators;

  • arrive at agreed departure and meeting points on time;

  • follow applicable safety requirements;

  • respect local laws and regulations;

  • respect wildlife, conservation areas and local communities; and

  • behave appropriately toward staff, guides, suppliers and other travellers.

A customer may be refused participation in an activity where their behaviour creates a safety risk or seriously disrupts the experience for others.

12. Health, Fitness and Activities

Some tours and safaris may involve:

  • walking;

  • swimming;

  • snorkelling;

  • boat travel;

  • uneven terrain;

  • exposure to sun and heat;

  • long travel periods;

  • wildlife encounters; or

  • other physical activities.

Customers are responsible for determining whether they are physically able to participate in the activities they book.

Customers should advise us before booking of any relevant mobility requirements, allergies, dietary requirements or other information that may affect the safe provision of the service.

We may request additional information where it is reasonably necessary to arrange the service safely.

13. Wildlife and Natural Environments

Safari and wildlife experiences take place in natural environments.

Wild animals are unpredictable and cannot be controlled or guaranteed.

Customers must follow the instructions of their guide and comply with applicable park and conservation rules.

Jadoshi Tours & Safaris cannot guarantee sightings of any particular animal, including lions, elephants, giraffes, leopards or other wildlife.

14. Boat and Water Activities

Boat trips, snorkelling and other marine activities are subject to weather, sea conditions, tides and safety requirements.

The operator or guide may change, delay or cancel a marine activity where conditions are considered unsuitable or unsafe.

Customers must follow all safety instructions provided by the boat operator or guide.

15. Third-Party Suppliers

Jadoshi Tours & Safaris may use independent suppliers to provide parts of your itinerary.

While we take reasonable care in selecting and coordinating suppliers, we do not control every aspect of their operations.

Third-party services are also subject to the supplier’s own terms, conditions, schedules and operating requirements.

Where a problem occurs with a third-party service, we will make reasonable efforts to assist the customer and coordinate with the supplier.

16. Delays and Circumstances Outside Our Control

We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, losses or additional costs caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

These may include:

  • severe weather;

  • natural disasters;

  • government action;

  • changes to laws or regulations;

  • civil unrest;

  • strikes;

  • airline disruption;

  • road closures;

  • park closures;

  • supplier failures;

  • mechanical problems;

  • sea conditions;

  • disease outbreaks; or

  • other unforeseen events.

Where such circumstances affect your booking, we will make reasonable efforts to assist with alternative arrangements.

17. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellations and refunds are handled in accordance with our separate Cancellation & Refund Policy.

Customers should review that policy before making a booking.

Where a particular booking has special cancellation conditions, those conditions will be communicated to the customer and may take precedence over the general Cancellation & Refund Policy.

18. Complaints

If you experience a problem during your trip, please notify us or the relevant service provider as soon as reasonably possible.

Giving us an opportunity to address a problem while the service is being provided may allow us to resolve the issue more quickly.

Complaints should be submitted as soon as possible after the relevant event and should include sufficient information for us to investigate the matter.

19. Personal Belongings

Customers are responsible for their personal belongings and valuables while travelling.

Jadoshi Tours & Safaris is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Customers should keep valuables secure and maintain appropriate travel insurance.

20. Website Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information published on our website is accurate and up to date.

However, prices, availability, itineraries, photographs, descriptions and other information may change.

Photographs are provided as a representation of the destination, accommodation or experience and may not always represent the exact conditions at the time of travel.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Booking Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The Terms & Conditions applicable to a confirmed booking will generally be those accepted by the customer at the time the booking was made, unless a change is required by law or agreed with the customer.

The current version will be published on our website.

22. Acceptance of These Terms

By making a booking with Jadoshi Tours & Safaris, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to read these Booking Terms & Conditions and agree to be bound by them.
